Ian & Greta Rojas is serving in Indonesia with MAF.
Ian joined MAF in 2016 and served his first term while single in Kalimantan, Indonesia. During the last year of his term, Ian and Greta met online. Despite being 8,000 miles and 15 hours apart, their relationship grew and they married in the summer of 2022 while Ian was on furlough.
Ian is a pilot/mechanic serving with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Indonesia. While he has completed his formal language studies, he says using the language to communicate fluently is still a bit of a challenge. He received part of his flight training at MATA and he is using his aviation skills to reach remote villages and people groups and help bring them the Gospel and other assistance by transporting missionaries, humanitarian organization personnel and outreach pastors from local churches. He is enjoying the challenges of some of the remote and unforgiving airstrips in the area.
