A Special Note To Parents of Youth
From Luke, Youth Director: God has been doing an awesome work in my life and in the lives of many others in recent weeks and months. Last July, I went to a life-changing training event called “Lead The Cause University” with four other students. I have always had a strong interest in evangelism but during that week God gave a bigger vision for His Kingdom and a real passion to reach the lost with His love. I knew that things could not go back to “normal”.
God created us to be with Him.
Our sins separate us from God.
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds.
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again.
Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life.
Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.
A huge new change with fresh vision, goals, name, décor, website, format, etc, etc, launched last month! RIVER is the new name of the Wednesday night youth gatherings!
Here’s why we are excited about this: it presents an exciting two-fold picture.
You may have heard about Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon Church. He claimed to have special revelations from God. How does what he said, compare to what Jesus said? Watch this incredible video to learn more! You will be amazed at the history and truth that is revealed!
Small group bible study is a great opportunity to grow in your faith and connect with other brothers and sisters in Christ! For our current life of bible studies or growth opportunities in your area, contact Pastor Long.
There you are sitting in worship or Bible study. Your child, or toddler, is restless. Perhaps they’re even a little boisterous. You try to silence them, and nothing. You try to pacify them with food or toys, and nothing. Eventually, you resort to the last thing you wanted to do: you pick them up, and before a watching audience, you make the march out of the auditorium. All the while, you’re a little embarrassed. Maybe you’re a little frustrated too. You might even think to yourself, “There’s no point in coming to church. I get nothing out of it because I have to constantly care for my kid.”
I want you — you mothers and/or fathers — to know just how encouraging you are to so many.
