Atonement Free Lutheran is a neighborhood church with a welcoming, family atmosphere. Atonement is committed to proclaiming freedom and new life in Jesus Christ, standing strong on His Word and serving those around us in His love.
The Thanksgiving Day service on Thursday, November 23rd at 10am is a special time for praise and testimonies of thanks to God for the blessings of the past year. Put the turkey in the oven and come for this service of thanks to God. A blessed Thanksgiving to all!
Atonement couples, not all couples are able to get away for our weekend Couples Retreat at Cedar Springs in Sumas in the spring of the year. For that reason, we thought it worthwhile to offer the opportunity for a video marriage seminar held at Atonement.
If there is interest, we are proposing to present the Chip Ingram series Experiencing God’s Dream for Your Marriage on Friday evening and Saturday morning and afternoon, November 10-11. There is no cost. All materials and lunch on Saturday will be provided.
If you are interested, let us know by email or sign up at church.
PS – This is also the weekend of one of Family Life Ministries Weekend to Remember marriage conferences at the Semiahmoo Resort. If you would like to check into that, call (855) 917-3767 or go to www.familylife.com/weekend.
Thank you so much to all who volunteered to be a part of Day of Hope 2017!
There were 1290 volunteers from 21 local churches serving 2857 guests! 4000 meals and 4915 bags of groceries were given away. 1142 people were prayed for and 6 people began a relationship with Jesus!
What a day! Thank you!
Our youth ministry (River) has been involved in working together with other area youth ministries. It has been named Arlington Student Ministries. The mission of the collaborative event planning team is to reach youth in Arlington with the Good News centered on the unity of the four G's (God, God's Son, God's Word, The Gospel). ASM has organized events such as Dare 2 Share LIVE, My Story 2017, Cinco De Mayo Dodgeball, Share The Love Race, Worship Night AHS, and more.
Dare 2 Share LIVE was amazing! Thousands of youth across the nation joining in a live event all about sharing the Good News of God's love. River joined the movement with several youth ministries for our own local event hosted by Jake's House Church. Many gospel conversations took place around our city and almost 500 lbs of can food was collected for our local food bank! Read more at Dare2sharelive.org!
