What an incredible gift life is! We believe God is the author and giver of life from every stage from conception to natural death. We encourage the support of a local ministry called Living Hope! This is an active ministry with the mission to be a visible presence in our community that offers "Living Hope" to parents and their children, by meeting their spiritual, physical, and relational need through the body of Christ. Because so many are without hope when they are faced with an unplanned pregnancy, their goal is to have a presence to offer "Living Hope" every hour that Everett Planned Parenthood is open. You can help make this possible by signing up on their website at www.livinghope.me
On February 21st, 2016 we our congregation joined with an estimated 1.1 million believers in 5,400 churches across 100 countries in numerous languages to sing the song Facing a Task Unfinished. The song urges the church to reach the world with the unfinished task of the Good News. The above video is a collage of a few of the churches from around the world. Read more for the story behind the song.
A huge new change with fresh vision, goals, name, décor, website, format, etc, etc, launched last month! RIVER is the new name of the Wednesday night youth gatherings!
Here’s why we are excited about this: it presents an exciting two-fold picture.
Featured Article written by Greg Stier from Dare2Share: I just came from a Bible study full of leaders from around the Denver area. This gathering was not organized through a local church but through a Christian business leader. It was a great time of fellowship, learning and conversation.
The participants around the large conference table had an open and very robust discussion about the role of "going to church" in the life of a Christian. The consensus seemed to be building toward a "we don't need a church, we are the church" kind of mentality.
It's a great year to be a Seahawks fan
But what drives them? If you are a Seahawks fan check out this video of some of the players and staff sharing their Christian testimonies... Even if you are not a fan check it out! It's awesome!
There you are sitting in worship or Bible study. Your child, or toddler, is restless. Perhaps they’re even a little boisterous. You try to silence them, and nothing. You try to pacify them with food or toys, and nothing. Eventually, you resort to the last thing you wanted to do: you pick them up, and before a watching audience, you make the march out of the auditorium. All the while, you’re a little embarrassed. Maybe you’re a little frustrated too. You might even think to yourself, “There’s no point in coming to church. I get nothing out of it because I have to constantly care for my kid.”
I want you — you mothers and/or fathers — to know just how encouraging you are to so many.
